Kevin P. Fitzpatrick

Kevin P. Fitzpatrick

Mr. Fitzpatrick is responsible for the worldwide real estate activities of AIG Member Companies, including fund management, financing, development and acquisitions.  He joined AIG in 1987 and is responsible for AIG Global Real Estate, a globally-diversified operation, with a portfolio of approximately 53 million square feet of properties worldwide.  He has more than 30 years of real estate experience.  Before joining AIG, Mr. Fitzpatrick was an Assistant Vice President with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Washington, D.C.  Prior to joining Metropolitan Life, he was employed by Rockresorts, Inc. in the Virgin Islands.   Mr. Fitzpatrick received a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.  He is a Certified Hotel Administrator, former President of the Cornell Hotel Society and trustee of the Cornell Hotel Society Foundation.  He is also a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, the Urban Land Institute and the Advisory Board for the New York office of the Enterprise Foundation.

     
Rajesh Ararwal

Mr. Agarwal is the Head of Global Real Estate Division in India and is responsible for AIG Global Real Estate’s India investment operations. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2006, Mr. Agarwal worked for Reliance Capital Asset Management Limited where he was Vice President – Private Equity responsible for setting up the Real Estate Investment Practice for the company. Prior to Reliance Capital, Mr. Agarwal worked at ICICI Venture where he was involved in starting the real estate private equity business in India and executing the first few pioneering private equity-led real estate development as well as rental yield based investments in the country. In addition, Mr. Agarwal has worked in the Financial Services sector in India and gained broad and deep knowledge in Infrastructure, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity. Mr. Agarwal is an engineer by qualification and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Bombay University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from IIM Calcutta.

     
Frank Behm

Mr. Behm is responsible for AIG’s real estate investments in all of Asia. He also serves as the portfolio manager for AIG-sponsored Asian and Japanese real estate funds. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2000, Mr. Behm co-founded Hudson International, a boutique investment bank specializing in insurance mergers and acquisition transactions. Mr. Behm also held senior level financial and investment positions with JP Morgan in New York, Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, and Equitable Investment Corporation and coordinated the IPOs and dispositions of several of its subsidiaries such as Alliance Capital, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Equitable Capital Management Corporation and Equitable Real Estate Investment Management. In 1995, Mr. Behm coordinated the sale of Equitable Life Assurance Society's separate account real estate interests in the Ala Moana Center, Hawaii. Mr. Behm graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, held the rank of Lieutenant Commander, was a Naval Aviator, Naval flight instructor pilot, and holds a Master of Science degree in Management from Troy State University. 
     
 
Ilaria Benucci

Ms. Benucci is responsible for the acquisition and development of real estate investments throughout Central and Eastern Europe, including Russia and Turkey.  She joined AIG Global Real Estate in 2006 and has more than 15 years of experience in the region. Prior to joining AIG, Ms. Benucci served as Managing Director of the Property Team for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("EBRD") where she was responsible for originating and executing equity and debt transactions in the office, retail, logistic and residential sectors. Russia was a primary area of focus for Ms Benucci during her 11 years at EBRD, as it was one of the main focal points of EBRD's investment activity.   Prior to her time at EBRD, she worked in Corporate Finance with Citibank and UBS. Ms Benucci received a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Rome.
     
 
Christopher D. Casey

Mr. Casey is a Product Specialist within the Capital Markets team responsible for raising capital for the property funds managed by AIG Global Real Estate.  Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2007, Mr. Casey was at Forum Partners Investment Management, where he was responsible for capital markets activities including capital placement and investor relations for Forum’s Asian and European real estate funds.  Prior to Forum Partners, Mr. Casey held positions with Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank Securities, Bear, Stearns & Co. and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Mr. Casey received a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University, an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Master’s of Management degree from the University of Dallas.
     
Richard D'Alessandri

Mr. D’Alessandri is responsible for all legal aspects of the businesses conducted by AIG Global Real Estate and its subsidiaries worldwide.  Before joining AIG Global Real Estate, he was Associate General Counsel – Financial Services of AIG and was responsible for all legal aspects of the investment businesses conducted by AIG and its subsidiaries worldwide.  Prior to his appointment as Associate General Counsel of AIG, he provided legal support to a wide range of financial services and investment operations of AIG and its subsidiaries.  During his term as counsel to AIG, he was primarily responsible for legal review of several significant transactions involving AIG and its subsidiaries, including AIG’s acquisition of SunAmerica Inc. Before joining AIG in 1988, Mr. D’Alessandri was a corporate associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other financial and securities transactions. Mr. D’Alessandri received a bachelor’s degree from City University of New York – Queens College, an MA from Fordham University, and a JD from Columbia University School of Law.

     
Wendell Dickerson, Jr.

Mr. Dickerson heads the Transaction Review Group within AIG Global Real Estate, which is responsible for reviewing new transactions and property valuations. Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2002, Mr. Dickerson was an officer in Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s Real Estate Investment Department, responsible for a portfolio valued in excess of $25 billion.  As head of MetLife’s Mortgage Production and Management Group for New York City, he was directly responsible for negotiating and closing transactions totaling approximately $5 billion. Prior to joining MetLife, he worked as an architect and urban planner in Central America. Mr. Dickerson received a bachelor’s degree from Williams College, an MBA from Columbia University and a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Dickerson has also served on the Real Estate Board of New York’s Finance Committee.

     
Peter DiCorpo

Mr. DiCorpo is the Chief Administrative Officer for AIG Global Real Estate and is responsible for managing the company’s global growth and development. He works with the regional offices to create more efficient and scalable procedures and specifically oversees the accounting, legal and administrative teams. Prior to assuming this role in March 2006, Mr. DiCorpo managed the U.S. residential investment team, where he was responsible for overseeing the group’s investment and management activities. These activities include the sourcing, financing and closing of new acquisition and development opportunities as well as coordinating with the asset management team on the properties. During his tenure at AIG Global Real Estate, Mr. DiCorpo has underwritten more than $2.5 billion in real estate transactions throughout the United States. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 1996, Mr. DiCorpo worked in AIG’s Internal Audit Department where he was responsible for reviewing and assessing the functionality of operating procedures for various AIG subsidiaries. He also assisted in the annual financial audit performed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Previously, Mr. DiCorpo worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen LLP in Hartford, Connecticut. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honors society and has completed all requirements for the designation of Certified Public Accountant.  Mr. DiCorpo holds a B.A. cum laude in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University, an MS in Accounting from the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business and an MBA in Finance and Management from New York University’s Stern School of Business.  

     
James Ellsworth

Mr. Ellsworth is a member of AIG Global Real Estate’s Capital Markets team and is responsible for the management of the real estate funds business. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2007, Mr. Ellsworth was a Portfolio Manager for Trust Company of the West (TCW), where he managed TCW’s emerging markets real estate funds. The funds held $2.5 billion of assets in international markets including China, Poland, Mexico, Brazil, and Russia. Mr. Ellsworth has extensive experience in underwriting, structuring and negotiating international real estate transactions, and has underwritten, acquired and disposed of investments throughout Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to TCW, Mr. Ellsworth worked in the New York office of Merrill Lynch’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group and was a Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions. Mr. Ellsworth received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

     
 

Trey Freeman

Mr. Freeman manages all aspects of the International Finance Centre Seoul project. His responsibilities will include development, construction, and marketing and leasing. Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2007, Mr. Freeman was a Senior Vice President with Parthenon Realty, LLC, where he was chief operating officer for this private, full-service asset management company, overseeing the day-to-day operations of an eight-million-square-foot, multi-state office portfolio throughout the southeast United States.  Prior to Parthenon, Mr. Freeman was President and CEO of Köllmann (USA), Inc., responsible for managing the daily operations of the U.S. subsidiary of a private German development firm where he successfully completed the development, financing, and disposition of more than four million square feet of industrial distribution property and 1,000 units of apartment projects.  Before his tenure with Köllmann, Mr. Freeman was with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments/Equitable Real Estate, where he was Vice President of Sales and Asset Management responsible for the sale of investment properties throughout the U.S. for domestic and foreign institutional clients.  While at Lend Lease, Mr. Freeman was responsible for the asset management and disposition of Peachtree Center, a $400 million joint venture investment of Equitable Life, and Nippon Life.  Mr. Freeman has also held senior positions with London & Edinburgh Trust/Balfour Beatty plc., U.S. Shelter Corporation and Metropolitan Life Insurance Companies.  Mr. Freeman has more than 20 years of real estate experience within the U.S. for institutions with foreign parent companies. Mr. Freeman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, a graduate certificate in Real Estate and Urban affairs from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in City Planning from Georgia Institute of Technology.  Mr. Freeman is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member and licensed Real Estate Broker in Georgia and North Carolina.

     
Joel Hammer

Mr. Hammer is responsible for the accounting, reporting and tax functions of AIG Global Real Estate.  Consisting of professionals in various global offices, subsidiaries and joint ventures, his team participates in the tax and accounting structuring of all new transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations for direct investment and funds.  Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 1994, Mr. Hammer was a Senior Manager at KPMG, an accounting and consulting company.  During his nine years at the firm, he worked with privately and publicly registered companies in a broad range of industries, including real estate.  He also performed financial and operational due diligence reviews in connection with various acquisition transactions, and assisted clients with strategic planning, financial structuring, budgeting, working capital issues and cash flow management. Mr. Hammer received a bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Albany.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

     
Donald Huffner

Mr. Huffner joined AIG Global Real Estate in 2007 and currently manages the company's Asset Management function for the Americas. He is responsible for managing a portfolio of assets valued in excess of $4 billion covering the residential, office, industrial, land and retail sectors. In conjunction with AIG's national network of JV partners, Mr. Huffner's team develops the operating strategy for the physical assets and coordinates the implementation of those programs to maximize the portfolio’s financial. Mr. Huffner previously worked for 12 years at Equity Office, most recently as Senior Vice President, responsible for operations in the New York, Washington, DC, and Atlanta regions.  In that capacity, he was responsible for the financial, asset management, leasing, and operating performance of a 23.2-million-square-foot portfolio, consisting of 86 properties valued in excess of $9 billion. His major focus was the review and refinement of asset exit decision timeframes and tactics designed to maximize specific property valuation. Prior to working for Equity Office, Mr. Huffner was Regional President of the Galbreath Company, where he directed the development and investment activities as well as the overall management of construction, leasing, property management and the strategic service division for a four-state region. Mr. Huffner is a member of NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute. He sits on the Board of Directors of Urban Renaissance Group, LLC, and the advisory board of the New York Community Trust's “RSVP Fund for Children”. He received a B.A. cum laude in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.

     
     
William G. Marino

Mr. Marino is responsible for the acquisition, development and management of real estate investment in Latin America and industrial, office and retail investment in the United States. His responsibilities include setting investment strategies and implementing them and establishing strategic relationships with leading property developers and operators. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2002, Mr. Marino was Senior Vice President of Development with AMB Property Corporation, where he managed their national development and redevelopment portfolio. In addition, he performed acquisitions and was Senior Vice President, head of West Coast Transactions as well as the Program Director for a partnership between AMB Property Corporation and AIG Global Real Estate. During his career, Mr. Marino has acquired in excess of $6 billion of retail, industrial, office, and residential real estate. Mr. Marino received both a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from Cornell University.

     
Nora E. Miller

Ms. Miller joined AIG Global Real Estate in 1997 and currently manages AIG Global Real Estate’s U.S. residential and retail equity investment program.  She is responsible for establishing and structuring strategic relationships with leading national property developers and operators as well as managing a portfolio of assets valued in excess of $3 billion. Through these relationships, AIG Global Real Estate provides equity to facilitate the development and acquisition of residential and retail properties throughout the United States. Ms. Miller previously managed AIG Global Real Estate’s majority ownership in AIG Baker, a national retail property development company. In this role, Ms. Miller was responsible for evaluating and underwriting new development projects, negotiating and managing property dispositions, and establishing and implementing the company investment strategy, including the preparation of the annual business plan and budget. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Ms. Miller was a Real Estate Sales Manager for MBL Life Assurance Corp. (“MBL”) where she was responsible for managing the disposition of owned real estate for a variety of property types including multifamily, office, retail and industrial properties. While at MBL, Ms. Miller was also the asset manager for a portfolio of multifamily properties financed with tax-exempt bonds. Ms. Miller is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute. She received a B.S. cum laude in Finance from Marist College and an MBA from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management.

Mr. Reid is responsible for AIG Global Real Estate’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2005, Mr. Reid was European Managing Director for The Peabody Fund/O’Connor Capital Partners.  In this role he led the acquisitions team and co-managed the European business.  His previous roles included working as a Fund Manger for Van Eck Global Asset Management in New York and Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer of Trammel Crow Real Estate Investors in Dallas. Mr. Reid received a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard University.

     
 
Ferdinando Scalamandré

Mr. Scalamandré is the Managing Director of AIGGRE Middle East Management. Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2006, Mr. Scalamandré worked for the international real estate arm of Dubai Holding where he was Regional Director North Africa responsible for structuring and initiating large real estate investments in Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Malta. Prior to Dubai Holding, Mr. Scalamandré worked for six years with Fingen Real Estate BV where he was Managing Director for a Central Europe-based group of companies involved in strategic partnerships and international joint ventures to undertake commercial multi-sector development projects. Mr. Scalamandré has worked in the Consulting Services sector internationally and gained worldwide experience in real estate, finance and infrastructure projects with special focus on emerging economies. Mr. Scalamandré holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Perugia (Italy), an MSc in Economic Development from the Imperial College (UK) and is currently pursuing an MBA for Financial Professionals at the Manchester Business School (UK). Mr. Scalamandré has vocational training in real estate at the Bocconi University (Italy), MIT and the University of Wisconsin (USA).

     
 
Nami (Tomoike) Sera

Ms. Sera is responsible for the supervision of the Legal, Portfolio Management, Accounting and Financial Management departments of AIG Global Real Estate in Japan as well as the Strategic Planning/Initiatives function. Ms. Sera joined AIG Global Real Estate in 1998 and created a real estate investment/management platform for AIG Global Real Estate Investment (Japan) Corp. (currently AIG Global Real Estate Asia Pacific, Inc. (“AIGGRE Japan”)).  In 1999, she assumed a head of the Real Estate Investment Division, where she led real estate acquisitions totaling more than ¥250 billion mainly for AIG insurance companies.  She was involved in joint ventures, securitizations, sale-lease-backs, and NPL acquisitions.  She also actively participated in special projects, such as Chiyoda Life (AIG Star Life) and Edison Life M&A transactions.  In 2002, she assumed the head of Corporate Planning Department of AIGGRE Japan.  Her responsibilities included fund raising, portfolio management, investor relations and business development.  She led the launch of three private funds and two joint venture investment programs.  She was promoted to Managing Director in 2005.  Before joining AIGGRE Japan, Ms. Sera worked for 11 years at Haseko Corporation, one of the largest construction and development companies in Japan.  At Haseko, she started as a leasing agent for residential and office properties and later was involved in shopping mall development, hotel development and nursing home operations. Ms. Sera received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Waseda University, Tokyo, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the William E. Simon Graduate School, University of Rochester, New York.  She has a License for Building Lots and Buildings Transactions (Takuchi Tatemono Torihiki Shuninsha).

     
Graeme Torre

Mr. Torre is responsible for AIG Global Real Estate’s operations in Asia, excluding Japan, and also serves as the portfolio manager for the AIG-sponsored Asian real estate fund. 
Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2005, Mr. Torre was a Director of Henderson Global Investors based in Singapore where he was responsible for both the listed and unlisted real estate investment for Asia Pacific.  In addition, Mr. Torre served as Chief Investment Officer for the $600-million Asia No. 1 Property Fund, a private, closed-end, pan-Asian opportunistic real estate fund.  Prior to Henderson, Mr. Torre was Head of Regional Investment at Hong Long Land Ltd., a large listed property company. Mr. Torre received a Masters (1st Class Honors) in Finance from University College Dublin.  Mr. Torre is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
 

     
James Tyson

Mr. Tyson is responsible for real estate capital market activities, including capital raising, balance sheet risk monitoring and capital market compliance.
Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2006, Mr. Tyson worked for Banc of America Securities running various real estate capital markets businesses, with particular emphasis on private equity and REIT capital raises and financings. Mr. Tyson also has real estate investment and development experience in previous roles with JP Morgan Chase, Falcon Real Estate and Houston-based Jefferson Development. During his career he has worked with institutional and high net worth clients from the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia. Mr. Tyson began his real estate career in the Real Estate Principal and Investment Banking Group at JP Morgan Chase. Mr. Tyson received a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and an MBA from New York University. Mr. Tyson holds licenses as a Securities Principal and Broker (Series 7, 24, and 63).

     
John S. Whitaker

Mr. Whitaker is responsible for AIG Global Real Estate’s development activities worldwide. He is the leader of the International Finance Centre Seoul Project team and is also responsible for Atlantic Station®, a $3-billion mixed-use development project in midtown Atlanta.  Mr. Whitaker oversees all aspects of the ongoing design, construction, leasing and management of the project, which is currently expected to include 12 million square feet of office, retail, residential and hotel facilities. Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 2004, Mr. Whitaker was a Principal and Managing Director for Trammell Crow Company, where he was responsible for all aspects of the Atlanta office, including development, acquisitions and property management.  Mr. Whitaker has more than 20 years of real estate experience, with an established development track record in the Atlanta metropolitan area, including such notable projects as Concourse, Capital City Plaza, Peachtree Center and the Proscenium.  Mr. Whitaker is dedicated to the community and real estate industry and participates in and holds board positions on numerous local organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Boys and Girls Clubs of Cobb County and Midtown Alliance. Mr. Whitaker received a bachelor’s degree in Business from Clemson University. 

     
Yamada Takuya  
Takuya Yamada

Mr. Yamada is responsible for overseeing all aspects of AIG Global Real Estate’s activities in Japan.  Before joining AIG Global Real Estate in 1999, Mr. Yamada worked in the real estate industry in Japan for The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co., Ltd., where he advised Japanese institutional investors and real estate companies of U.S. and Japanese real estate investments.  While he was at Sumitomo Trust, he was stationed in Sydney, Australia for five years and in New York for three years, where he was involved on a number of cash flow finance projects, including hotel and condominium projects.  Notably while he was in New York, he completed Sumitomo Trust’s first Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) for $500M in 1998.  Mr. Yamada received a bachelor’s degree of Law from Gakushuin University and an LLM from Cornell Law School.  He is an admitted lawyer in New York and a licensed real estate appraiser in Japan.  He also is a licensed real estate broker.
