Monika M. Machon

Monika M. Machon
Managing Director, Head of Global Fixed Income
AIG Investments, New York

Ms. Machon joined AIG Investments in 1998. She currently serves as interim head of the global fixed income teams. Ms. Machon also serves as Chairperson of the Board of AIG Investments Europe Ltd. Previously, she was portfolio manager and head of emerging markets debt, and served as CEO of the London-based business. Ms. Machon has over 27 years of fixed income investment experience in the US and overseas. Before joining AIG Investments, Ms. Machon worked with Barclays Capital, Providian (now Aegon USA), Northwestern Mutual Life and INB. Ms. Machon holds Doctor of Jurisprudence and MBA (Finance) degrees from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rockhurst College. She is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and a CFA charter holder. She is a private sector member of the Principles Consultative Group, whose dialogue objective is to promote global debtor-creditor cooperation and foster transparency and financial stability in emerging markets.

     
Michael Bluthe   Michael Buthe

American Life Insurance Company (Alico)

Mr. Buthe is Chief Investment Officer, Director and Vice President of American Life Insurance Company (ALICO), one of AIG's foreign Life Insurance companies, with operations in over 50 countries.  Mr. Buthe provides oversight of the investment portfolios and management related to ALICO's life, pension, annuity, mutual fund and asset management businesses in these countries. Mr. Buthe joined AIG in 1998 and has been working in investment management since 1989.  From 1999 to 2002 he was AIG's Regional Investment Officer - Europe based in London.  Prior to joining AIG he spent 9 years working at RJR Nabisco, Inc. in a variety of international financial and investment roles.  From 1996 to 1997 he worked as part of a post acquisition team in Buenos Aires Argentina managing capital investment for Nabisco's local subsidiary.  From 1985 to 1989 he worked in the corporate finance and treasury management function at Olympia and York Companies USA, one of the largest commercial real estate owners in North America at that time.Mr. Buthe is a CFA charterholder, a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a member of the CFA Institute.  Mr. Buthe holds a BS from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from Stern School of Business, New York University.

     
Ian Butter   Ian Butter

Mr. Butter joined AIG Investments in 1988 and is Managing Director of International Fixed Income and Chief Investment Officer of International General Insurance Operations with responsibility for Asia, Japan, Latin America and the American Life Insurance Companies (ALICO).  He worked on the AIG acquisitions of two life insurance companies in Japan, managing the investment due diligence and transition planning on the acquisition of GE Edison Life (now AIG Edison). Earlier he worked on the asset due diligence of Chiyoda Mutual Life (now AIG Star), and was Regional Investment Officer, Japan focusing on AIG Star Life.  Prior to that he served as Chief Investment Officer for AIG Companies in Japan and Korea where he oversaw the investment operations of AIG’s various insurance companies in the region.  Prior to AIG, he spent eight years in the Middle East, working first as a bond dealer for a regional bank and then as a fixed-income and equity strategist for an investment company.  He also worked as a corporate finance executive for an UK merchant bank.  Mr. Butter received an MBA from Cranfield Business School, specializing in financial management and accounting.  He also studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University.

Regional Chief Investment Officer - Asia Pacific ex-Japan,

American International Group, Inc. 

Mr. Chu is the Asia Chairman of AIG Investments and the Regional Chief Investment Officer - Asia Pacific ex-Japan of AIG. He is also the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of American International Assurance Co Ltd ("AIA"), the largest life insurer in Southeast Asia, the Director of AIA,  Nan Shan Life Insurance Company Ltd  and Philippines American Life and General Insurance Company. Mr. Chu is responsible for AIG’s proprietary investment portfolios in Asia ex-Japan which includes China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia. He also oversees third party fixed income asset management in the region. Prior to joining AIG in 1993, Mr. Chu had 19 years of experience with Bank of America in various senior management positions including country senior credit officer, head of corporate banking and the country manager of China. Mr. Chu received an MA degree in Education from Concordia University, USA and an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also attended the Executive Development Program at Princeton University in 1982.

     
Guillermo P. Donadini   Guillermo P. Donadini

Mr. Guillermo Donadini is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer - Europe for AIG Investments. As such he provides oversight of the investment portfolios and asset management activities to life, pension and annuity business and general insurance operations in these countries. Earlier he was Chief Investment Officer for Latin America. He joined AIG in 1994 as the Chief Investment Officer of an Argentine joint venture pension fund with BankBoston. While there Mr. Donadini proposed and implemented the investment strategy of pension fund and insurance company portfolios. He was the Chief Investment Officer of AIG's Colombian-based pension fund company. He also worked as a head trader for ING Bank and as an analyst for two of the main argentine financial and economic advisory firms. He was a professor at five different Argentine and Colombian universities, and he has been a speaker in seminars for the World Bank and the Argentine Economic Policy Association. Mr. Donadini holds a Masters degree in Economics from CEMA University and a bachelor's in Economics from University of Buenos Aires.

     
William W. Fish

Mr. Fish is Chief Investment Officer of AIG’s domestic Property Casualty Group, which markets a wide range of property-casualty insurance products and services principally through brokers to corporate buyers and commercial customers. These AIG companies are leading providers of directors & officers, professional liability, commercial umbrella and excess & surplus lines coverage, along with products of many specialty business units. The group’s net premiums written exceeded $25 billion in 2006 and investment assets totaled more than $76 billion at year’s end. Mr. Fish is a member of various strategy committees and is responsible for directing the investment process and approach of the domestic property and casualty companies. Mr. Fish is also a Managing Director and was previously head of the Tax-Exempt Fixed Income Group at AIG Investments for six years. This group manages one of the largest portfolios of municipal securities in the country, with current assets under management of over $60 billion. Prior to joining AIG in early 1996, Mr. Fish spent 20 years as a sell-side research analyst, managing the municipal research groups at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and at ABN AMRO Securities (USA). Earlier, he was employed in the municipal portfolio and bond departments at Bankers Trust Company. Mr. Fish has an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany, where he was a member of the Municipal Finance Study Group. In polls conducted by Institutional Investor magazine, he was cited four times as a First Team member in the Municipal Generalist category, as well as receiving citations in the municipal electric utility and tax-supported sectors. He is a former Chairman of the Municipal Analysts Group of New York, a former President of the Society of Municipal Analysts and in 1999 received the Career Achievement Award of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.

Ms. Hamstra is responsible for AIG’s Matched Investment Program, as well as coordinating AIG Investments’ other fixed income capital markets initiatives. She is also responsible for overseeing Structured Credit business on a worldwide basis including investments in third-party-managed CDO transactions and issuance of AIG Investments CDO transactions. Ms. Hamstra held a similar position at AGIM where she also directed the firm’s investments in asset-backed and commercial mortgage-backed securities. Ms. Hamstra joined AIG Investments with the acquisition of AGIM in 2001, and American General in 1987 as a member of the real estate group. Her prior experience was in real estate banking.  She earned a BA degree in sociology and an MBA degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and is a CFA charterholder.

     
Don McHugh   Don McHugh

Mr. McHugh joined AIG Investments in 2000 and is the Chief Credit Officer for Global Fixed Income with responsibilities that span various asset classes and geographies. He also serves as the Head of Sovereign Risk Management and chairs AIG Investments’ International Credit Committee.  Prior to his current duties, Mr. McHugh served as Managing Director of High Grade Fixed Income Research, where he oversaw a team of 16 investment professionals responsible for over US $185 billion in assets. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. McHugh worked for New York Life Investment Management for 12 years, where he served as an analyst covering various industry sectors, and then as a supervisor and manager in various credit functions. His analytical experience includes investment grade corporates, high yield and emerging markets. Previously, he worked in the Controller's Department of New York Life for six years where he focused on investment accounting, mergers and acquisitions, competitive analysis and strategic planning.  His investment industry experience began in 1987.  Mr. McHugh is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and has served on the Board of the Fixed Income Analysts Society, Inc. (FIASI), where he remains a member. He received a BS in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.
     
Benjamin Seiver   Benjamin Seiver
Regional Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Seiver joined the AIG companies in 1985 and now is now Chief Investment Officer in Japan with primary responsibilities for overseeing the $72 billion asset portfolio of five AIG insurance companies in Japan and two in Korea.  Prior to AIG Investments, Mr. Seiver worked at McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant in Europe, and later in a strategy planning group at Morgan Stanley.  Mr. Seiver received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Yale College. Mr. Seiver holds a CFA charter and NASD Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses.
