Mr. Costabile joined AIG Investments in 2000 and is the Managing Director of the Private Equity Funds Group. Mr. Costabile brings his in-depth knowledge of private equity funds to AIG Investments and has played a significant role in the successful growth of three product lines, Pinestreet LLC, PineStar (secondaries) and the PEP program. Mr. Costabile serves on the Developed Markets Fund Investment Committee, APEN Investment Committee and Asia Private Equity Investment Committee. His current responsibilities include overseeing all private equity funds investments in the developed markets, as well as sourcing, due diligence, monitoring product development, and marketing. Mr. Costabile’s private equity investing and valuation experience dates back to 1990. Previously, from 1997 to 2000, Mr. Costabile was a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in the Private Funds Group, with a focus on investments on behalf of CSFB and third party investors. Prior to that, he was the Senior Investment Officer of Alternative Investments for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Assistant Director of Venture Capital for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In both positions, Mr. Costabile focused on private equity fund investments. He received both a BSBA and an MBA from Duquesne University. He is also a CFA charterholder and holds a Series 7 license.

Mr. Chang joined AIG Investments in 1991. Mr. Chang’s investment experience began in 1980 and since 1994 his experience included private equity investing in both Western Europe and the United States. Mr. Chang is responsible for evaluating and meeting with private equity fund managers, making investment recommendations and monitoring the performance of the private equity fund portfolio. Mr. Chang also serves on a number of private equity fund advisory boards. Prior to joining AIG Investments, he was a Senior Investment Analyst at AIG Capital Corp, where he joined in 1980. Mr. Chang received a BA in Accounting from Feng Chia University in Taiwan and an MBA in Accounting from Marshall University in West Virginia.

     
Axel Kuehn   Axel Kuehn

Mr. Kuehn joined AIG Investments in 2005. Based in our Zurich office, his responsibilities include managing the PineStar secondary fund portfolio as well as sourcing, performing due diligence and monitoring private equity funds, primarily in Europe. Previously, Mr. Kuehn managed a private equity funds team at Allianz Private Equity Partners, which managed portfolios, including the Dresdner Bank portfolio, as well as third party funds. He joined Allianz from Dresdner Kleinwort Capital where he most recently led the fund-of funds team. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Kuehn led a team in Dresdner Bank AG managing shareholdings in industrial and bank-related companies. Prior experience includes BdW, Dresdner Bank Global Finance, and Corporate Banking at Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt and Duesseldorf, as well as Corporate and Private Banking at Deutsche Bank AG. Mr. Kuehn has served on corporate boards of venture-backed companies and sits on a number of private equity partnership advisory boards. Mr. Kuehn received a diploma from Bankakademie Duesseldorf.

     

Rhonda Ryan

Ms. Ryan joined AIG Investments in 2006. In addition to heading the London private equity team, Ms. Ryan is responsible for evaluating and meeting with private equity fund managers, making investment recommendations and monitoring the performance of the private equity fund portfolio. Prior to joining AIG Investments, she was Head of Private Equity at Insight Investment (the asset manager of the Halifax Bank of Scotland group (HBOS)), where she joined in 2001. Ms. Ryan’s investment experience began in 1992 and since 1997 her experience included private equity investing in Europe and the United States. Ms. Ryan also serves on a number of private equity fund advisory boards.  Ms. Ryan received a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) from The Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

     
  Jason McGann, CFA

Mr. McGann joined AIG Investments in 2001 and is responsible for sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring of private equity fund investments. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. McGann worked as a Financial Analyst supporting local currency trading and international emerging markets trading at Merrill Lynch. While at Merrill, Mr. McGann completed the Financial/Accounting Business Analyst Training Program, rotating through Technology Finance, Global Foreign Exchange Finance, and International Emerging Markets Finance. Mr. McGann received a BS (cum laude) from Villanova University in Business Administration, with a major in Finance and a minor in Communication Arts. He has passed the Series 7 and 63 examinations and is a CFA charterholder.

     
  Apichat Natasilpa
Vice President, Direct Investment

Mr. Natasilpa joined AIG Investments (Asia) in 1999 and is currently responsible for the development and execution of direct investment projects in Thailand. He is also actively involved in the workout/ turnaround of an investee company in the semiconductor packaging sector. Prior to joining AIG Investments (Asia), Mr. Natasilpa worked with Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of Asia (subsidiary of ABN Amro Bank) in treasury and capital market divisions in Bangkok for 14 years. Before that, he worked with General Electric Company in the UK. Mr. Natasilpa has a BE from the University of Liverpool in the UK and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

     
Peter Hwang   Peter Hwang

Mr. Hwang joined AIG Investments in 2002 and has been based in Hong Kong since May 2007. He is responsible evaluating and meeting with Asian private equity fund managers (primarily in North Asia and Australia), making investment recommendations and monitoring the performance of the private equity fund portfolio. Mr. Hwang also has overall responsibility for AIG’s first two fund-of-funds products, AIG Private Equity Portfolio, L.P. (PEP I) and AIG Private Equity Portfolio II, L.P. (PEP II). Before moving to Hong Kong, he spent 14 months supporting and managing European private equity operations in London, mainly covering Western Europe. Previously, he worked for Capital IQ, a division of Standard & Poor's. Mr. Hwang received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.

     
Jeremy Bergman   Jeremy Bergman

Mr. Bergman joined AIG Investments in 2005. He is responsible for sourcing, performing due diligence and monitoring private equity fund investments. He also manages AIG Private Equity Portfolio V, a fifth generation fund of funds invested in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to earning his MBA, Mr. Bergman worked as an equities trader for Laidlaw & Co. and, prior to that, as an analyst in Prudential Financial’s fixed income operations group. Mr. Bergman has an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University and a BS in finance and economics from the University at Albany. Mr. Bergman also holds a Series 7 license.
