Our goal: To partner with entrepreneurs to grow companies that will become strategically attractive to multinational acquirers. The team focuses on companies and sectors that we expect to grow at a much faster pace than the average GDP of the region.

Transaction size:  With capacity to invest EUR 25-500 million of equity into single transactions, we team up with successful entrepreneurs to take significant minority positions as well as controlling positions through leveraged buyouts, MBOs and MBIs where we believe it is appropriate. 

Approach:  We have adopted a hands-on approach to actively create value by drawing on our 15 years of investment experience in the region, along with the information gained through our rigorous due diligence process. We believe that it is not enough to simply sit on a board to review financial performance and provide general observations. Instead, where appropriate, we participate in our portfolio companies’ operations at many levels. Our active approach helps to remedy situations if necessary and grow underlying businesses.

Deal structure:  Deals are structured to facilitate multiple exit strategies. Exits will typically be executed in three to five years through sales to strategic investors or initial public offerings. The majority of realized exits in Central and Eastern Europe have been achieved through trade sales to multinational companies seeking to grow their presence in the region.
