Darryl J. Dong

Mr. Dong joined AIG Investments in 2004 as Managing Director of the Capital Recovery Group. CRG invests in non-performing, sub-performing and other distressed-situation assets, either in portfolios or single-asset opportunities. Its primary investments include sub-performing and non-performing loans, corporate debt recapitalizations, and distressed real estate, mostly in emerging markets. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Dong headed GE Capital’s Asian Global Financial Restructuring unit in Tokyo for five years. In this role, Mr. Dong led GE’s efforts in distressed-opportunity investments in China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Before this, he served an additional five years with GE as a Director of the Real Estate’s Asset Management division. Before joining GE in 1985, Mr. Dong held executive positions at San Francisco Federal Bank, JE Robert Company (now Archon, part of Goldman Sachs), and Consolidated Capital. Mr. Dong holds a BASc from University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and is a registered Civil Engineer. Mr. Dong received MBA degrees in both Construction Management and Corporate Finance from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Afsar Farman-Farmaian

Ms. Farman-Farmaian joined AIG Investments as General Counsel in 2006 and assumed her current role as Director of Europe for the Capital Recovery Group in 2007. Previously, Ms. Farman-Farmaian provided legal counsel to AIG Investments’ direct and fund of funds private equity groups. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Ms. Farman-Farmaian was an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York where she focused on private equity, M&A and other corporate transactions. Ms. Farman-Farmaian is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School , and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Kevin Dibble
General Counsel, Transaction Director, Capital Recovery Group

Mr. Dibble is a Vice President of AIG Investments and General Counsel of the Capital Recovery Group with primary responsibility for the legal and compliance operations of CRG. Mr. Dibble joined AIG Investments in 2006 as Assistant General Counsel working on various private equity transactions, including equity and debt financings and fund formations. In 2007, Mr. Dibble assumed responsibility for the provision of legal services to CRG. Prior to AIG Investments, Mr. Dibble was a Partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP where his practice focused on private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions, including leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings, fund formations and other corporate matters. Mr. Dibble holds a BS (Summa Cum Laude) with a double major in Business Management and Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and a JD (Cum Laude) from Cornell University. Mr. Dibble received his license to practice law in 1999.
Alexander Choo
Director of Valuation, Capital Recovery Group

Mr. Choo is the Capital Recovery Group’s global Director of Valuation. Mr. Choo has over 20 years of experience evaluating distressed assets and real estate collateral. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Choo worked at Colony Capital and GE Capital Real Estate. Mr. Choo is a graduate of State University of New York at Albany.
Marie A. Dempsey
Director of Portfolio Management, Capital Recovery Group
AIG Investments, New York
Ms. Dempsey is the Director of Portfolio Management for Capital Recovery Group. In this position, Ms. Dempsey monitors CRG’s investments performance, oversees CRG’s servicing partners, and assists in identifying and evaluating potential servicing partners. Ms. Dempsey has approximately ten years of NPL servicing experience in various markets and products, including consumer, commercial, and residential loans. Prior to AIG Investments, Ms. Dempsey managed Lehman Brothers’ residential NPL portfolio in Thailand and co-lead the underwriting of residential and commercial loan portfolios in the Philippines. Before that, Ms. Dempsey worked in GE Capital’s business development group, where she handled company and portfolio acquisitions, and later underwriting GE’s commercial NPL portfolio in Thailand. Ms. Dempsey holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia University and a BA from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Jose Luis Garcia Lascurain

Mr. Lascurain joined AIG Investments at the Capital Recovery Group’s inception in 2005 and currently serves as Director of the Americas responsible for all deal activity in the Americas. Mr. Lascurain has 12 years of Fortune 500 professional experience in strategic planning, business development, financial modeling and analysis. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Lascurain spent three years working for AIG’s Group Management Division, where his practice focused on business development and strategic planning. Before that, he worked for PepsiCo and Andersen Consulting. Mr. Lascurain received a Chemical Engineering degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Purdue University.
